an unorganized dance company
{koroche}
Speaking the language of contemporary dance since 2020. Yulia Bychkova and her team — the body as the primary instrument of expression. Kaluga, St. Petersburg.
About
{ 01 / ABOUT US }Yulia Bychkova founded the company in 2020. Since then the repertoire has grown to more than five productions — all made in the language of contemporary dance, where the body speaks without translation.
A young, fast-growing company, {koroche} recently took its first tour to St. Petersburg: the show "Stories. Of the Earthly and the Heavenly" played to a warm reception at the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre.
{koroche} recently premiered "Archaeology of the Human" — an evening of short-form contemporary dance in three independent statements.

Reviews
{ 04 / AUDIENCE }If I could, I'd come back again — especially to revisit so much of it after the discussion. Thank you for this work and the emotions it brought.
The dance never stops for the whole show, no dead spots, it plays as one whole piece. There's ritual in it, and narrative, and an exploration of gender roles.
FAUN CONTEMPORARY · "Stories. Of the Earthly and the Heavenly"
Watching it a second time felt like the first. The director brought many in the audience to tears. And, as always, the aftertaste stays with you for a long time.
I love Yulia Bychkova's and {koroche}'s work — it's deep and meaningful. This time everything came together for me: music, dance, light, costumes, set, idea.
